Motet Choir Rehearsal

How we have all MISSED making music together! My hopes of bringing back our musical ensembles have been dashed numerous times over the last year and half, but I believe we will actually give this a try now. Hopefully you’ve all received a phone call from a section member, but if you have not, please call me at 812-219-5805 any time! Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns as well.

I want you to be aware, however, that there will be quite a few differences TO START. The hope, as with all of the church policies, is to be as safe as possible and ultimately strip away each restriction as soon as it is safe to do so.

To that end, we will spend half our time in Fellowship Hall, and the other half in the Sanctuary. Both spaces now have air conditioning and purification and are the safest places to gather. Please bring a sweater if you are easily affected by AC since it WILL be on. It works beautifully if you haven’t been in church yet!

We will ALL be wearing masks the entire time to begin with. Please bring your favorite one but we will also have disposables if you wish. FCC has purchased THESE face mask support frames that are lightweight, adjustable, and will keep any mask out of your mouth while singing. You will each be issued one for free as you arrive to use as you wish. I have been singing with it for a few weeks now and it works well!

Please search for any folders or scores that you may have at home and bring them with you! We will plan to sing right away, on Sunday, September 12th at the 10:30 Service with Martin Shaw’s With A Voice of Singing, since this is quite well-known to us and I think we can pull it off quickly.
