COVID-19 policy update –
In-Person Worship Guidelines
Muskegon County has now moved into the “LOW” category based on the new CDC three-tier system of COVID-19 Community Level. This means that all community members are encouraged to stay up to date with vaccinations and get tested if they have any symptoms. To see the official site, please click here. There are many reasons why people may choose to wear a mask at any time. Anyone who is immunocompromised, or lives with/cares for someone with that criteria may continue to mask for safety reasons. The CDC states that “people with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.” FCC asks that those individuals join us ONLINE only. FCC is still committed to protecting the dignity and safety of all our members and friends. Therefore, we will allow the congregation to make their own choice on masking in the Sanctuary**, but we will continue to reserve the balcony for those who wish to remain masked and distanced at all times. For the sake of your friends and neighbors, please select a seat upstairs only if you are willing to comply with these policies. **Musicians and Ministers in the Chancel may operate
under a more restricted set of guidelines, to be determined.
Please keep in mind that the air conditioning and purification project was absolutely necessary and is still working well, but was ONLY ONE STEP in the process of protecting our community and making the space safe to occupy. As this public health crisis carries on we will continue to make adjustments to our policies to keep everyone safe and comfortable.
- All activities, anywhere in the building are subject to additional COVID precautions and limitations as requested by the church leadership until further notice.
